OUR NOTES, IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Useful advice starts with saying what we know.

DustMigo is a focused buying guide, not a testing lab. We use this page to explain how we make the shortlist, what we have and haven’t verified, and how our links work.

How we choose

We keep the list short and choose models that represent different household needs: a simpler auto-empty vacuum, an everyday vacuum-and-mop dock, a pet-and-carpet focused option, and a premium navigation-focused option.

We compare practical details that change ownership: brush maintenance, carpet behavior, mop design, object sensing, dock chores, footprint, and how much setup a feature adds. We look for an honest downside for every recommendation.

The finder on the home page is a lightweight matching aid, not a laboratory score. It uses your answers to prioritize the relevant pick; it does not collect or transmit them.

Market & budget

This shortlist covers U.S. model configurations and uses USD budget cutoffs. Amazon links go to Amazon.com.

The finder uses broad, non-sale reference tiers based on standard configurations shown on U.S. manufacturer product pages, checked October 2, 2026. Product cards label those tiers as lower, midrange, or premium; they do not quote Amazon prices. Manufacturer bundles and retailer offers can differ, so a model filtered out by its reference tier may be discounted below your cap today.

DustMigo does not display Amazon prices or availability. Amazon’s Associates Program Policies limit those displays to data served through Amazon links or obtained under its API license; this static site does not use those price feeds. Check the live Amazon listing for the price and availability at checkout.

If no pick clears your selected budget tier, the finder says so and does not push a more expensive model. You can still review the complete shortlist or compare current listings yourself.

What this is (and isn’t)

We have not personally tested these models in a DustMigo lab or in our own homes. Our current recommendations are based on manufacturer specifications and product information, plus the practical limitations those features suggest. We do not describe them as hands-on reviews or claim test results.

Manufacturer performance numbers are labeled as claims when used. A high suction figure cannot promise a specific result on your carpet, and object avoidance can fail on thin cables, small objects, or unusual conditions. We avoid live prices because retailer pricing and bundles can change.

We do not publish customer reviews, ratings, or star averages. If we add original testing later, we’ll explain the setup and method on the relevant page.

Sources & update notes

Product attributes on the comparison page are checked against official US manufacturer pages. Manufacturer suction figures, runtimes, and object-recognition claims are not independent DustMigo test results. Check the exact product and bundle details before buying:

We checked these product details on October 2, 2026. The Dreame TriCut brush and automatic solution dispenser are optional; the L40 Ultra Gen 2 product page lists bundles with and without them. The Qrevo S5V page gives robot dimensions but no separate dock footprint, so we do not publish one for that model. Recheck the exact product name, dock, accessories, warranty region, and seller at checkout; similarly named variants can differ.

We plan to review the shortlist every quarter and after major model revisions. If you spot a changed spec or broken link, use the contact route on the site’s GitHub repository once it is public.

Community conduct

DustMigo is intended to be useful when someone is already comparing robot vacuums. If the site is mentioned in an online community, we’ll follow that community’s rules, be clear about any connection to the site when relevant, and avoid pretending to be an independent customer or flooding conversations with promotion.
